The heart and soul behind Kumaykay River Farm started back in 2000 when my father, driven by a deep love for farming, planted the first seeds that would later blossom into what we cherish today. Inspired by a commitment to social enterprise, we embarked on a transformative adventure across Asia, laying the groundwork for our unique agricultural haven.
The driving force behind the scenes. A student of Ateneo de Cagayan and Silliman University, JJ’s journey led him to Thames International School, where he delved into the world of Interior Design. But his story doesn’t stop there. Between 2003 and 2008, JJ explored his culinary talents, shaping the delightful flavors that grace the tables of Kumaykay River Farm.
Beyond the farm and kitchen, JJ’s life is a vibrant canvas of passions. Whether he’s scoring goals as a soccer goalkeeper, engaging in spirited rounds of golf, or embracing the beauty of judo and escrima, his love for sports knows no bounds. An artist at heart, JJ finds solace in painting and playing the piano, adding a touch of creativity to his everyday life.
And then there’s his unique penchant for collecting and restoring vintage BMW motorcycles—a true labor of love. But JJ’s interests don’t stop there; he’s a curator of history, collecting items like samurai swords, guns, and relics from World War eras.
JJ’s life is a beautiful blend of farming roots, culinary arts, sports, arts, and a love for collecting. It’s more than a story—it’s a tapestry of experiences that shape the very essence of Kumaykay River Farm.
